Well, we enjoyed our four historic stops in Paris. However, we had several "Chevy Chase European Vacation" moments as well.
There was the moment when our luggage straps broke. Mike stopped in the middle the busy Paris streets and he and Jason try to rig the straps. Of course, we had to get pictures.
Lily had more fun chasing the pigeons than seeing the sights. Although, Anna was mad because she thought Lily was torturing the pigeons.
I think we spent more time "sightseeing" the Paris map than the historical sights.
Lily and Anna gawking at the teeny tiny "Smart" cars!
Of course, we had to be typical tourist and get pictures with the restaurant owners.
You can check these and more moments out below. There are a few just candid shots taken in the city. It was a wonderful trip. We are back in Germany now, ready for the next adventure.

Wow!! What a great experience!
Anna, I'm with you...save the pigeons!! ;)
Lily, find any cute French guys?
Amy, how about those couture shops up and down the Champs Elysées??
Jason, Ross must have forgotten to program Paris into the GPS!!
Love you all and thanks for sharing...we feel like we're there with you!
Love, Paola
Actually, we think Ross was hacking into the system again. Their GPS is named "Kay." Well, Kay kept telling us to turn down this one street! It said buses only, so we kept ignoring her. Finally, when she would give us no other route, we took it. Within 50 feet, we were waved down by a cop. Yep - that's right. We got a ticket for going down a "buses only" lane. Here is the kicker. We had Lily sitting (illegally) in the back of their Jeep because it only has five seats. We quickly covered her up with all the jackets. I was afraid she would be suffocated by the time we got a ticket. Thankfully, she survived. Oh well, just chalk it up to another "Chevy Chase" moment.
The shops were great, but by the time we got to those after touring the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, we were exhausted. Our biological clocks haven't adjusted yet!
We love you all and look forward you soon.
P.S. Lily said she saw a few cute French guys on the street, but not nearly as many as the Germans at the ski resort. I think there will always be a special spot in her heart for German guys since so many tried to help her while she was having her "near death" experience on the slopes!!!
Next trip, we will allow you to take Ross...purely for navigational purposes!!!
Do you guys EVER take a bad picture?!?!?! Everything is so beautiful. Almost (almost) makes me want to get on a big plane and fly across the ocean.
I am in Watercolor, FL (near Seaside) with my family, and it has been wonderful. I don't want the vacation to end! Know you probably feel the same.
Jeff P., if you read this, here's me learning to play "A Good Hearted Woman" with my brother. Are you ready to jam when I get home? : ) You can see by my face how seriously I am taking all this in the photo.
Hey guys, It is 11:19 here so I guess you guys are sleeping. I miss you all so incredibly much. I am also soooooo jealous of everything you are seeing. Next time could I maybe ride in the trunk? I promise not to make too much noise. Erika has gotten to see all the places you have seen the last couple of days. Y'all can compare pictures when you get home. Love you all and can't wait to see you.
Hello, everyone
Leigh - We'll take you up on that offer. Maybe he can download all the latest updates on the GPS and make sure Kay doesn't take us down any more illegal streets and cause us to get any more tickets.
Sarah - So, planes going over oceans must be one of your phobias??? Your pictures from Watercolor are beautiful. Your brother must be a nut! The girls enjoyed looking at all the pictures of the children. I am so sorry they didn't get anything for Christmas.
We have enjoyed our time here so much and do not want it to end. However, we have not had one day of sunshine. We will be glad to get back to that.
Hey, by the way, when you back, let's sign you up for the youth praise band - lead guitar!!!
Diane - We miss you all as well. Is your Sunday School Christmas party still on for Saturday? It will be great to see everyone. Lily says that she wants to ride Sam every day for the next two weeks. I sure hope the weather will cooperate. We will be happy to bring you along in the trunk next time. Just be prepared to have to hide under jackets and nearly suffocate in order to avoid the law!!!
Love you all :-)
Hey Adams Family,
Well, we're back in Pcola after a short trip to Hotlanta. I just got a moment to catch up on the Adams Trip. WOW!!! This is so incredible. I'm just in Awe over these pictures. Love the Newspaper shots. It reminded me that I should have taken some pictures of Gordon tieing down tarps on the truck since we would be traveling in some aweful rain yesterday back to Pcola. I was just glad to be home safely and our stuff didn't get wet. He did good!
So was Anna surprised about Paris? I know she was wishing for Turkey, right?
Until later.... Enjoy the weekend!
Love,
Leanne
Amy,
If it makes you feel any better, my dad got into an accident pointing out the Opera House to us when we were in Paris...it's the stuff that memories are made of, and we got to stay in Paris a few extra days!!! Besides, it's a ticket that none of you will ever forget!!
